Urgent Congressional Action

Protect Kids.
Not Platforms.

Congress is voting Thursday on three bills called "child safety" legislation.

They are not. These bills would eliminate the most significant protections child sexual abuse survivors have — and do it quietly, right before midterm elections, while most of America isn't watching.

What these bills actually do

Abandon your kids.

The Kids Online Safety Act, COPPA 2.0, and the SAFER Gaming Act sound like protection. They are the opposite. Buried in each bill is preemption language that wipes out stronger state laws — the same laws that give survivors and their families a fighting chance in court. House staffers have confirmed this is intentional.

This is not a side effect. It is the point.

Who is behind this

Big Tech, like Roblox and Discord, have spent years and millions of dollars lobbying for this outcome. They picked this moment carefully: a rushed markup, weeks before midterm elections, before voters can connect the dots.

Who it hurts

Your children.

The kids who were groomed, exploited, and sexually abused on platforms like Roblox. Their families. Their loved ones. Every state Attorneys General who has taken legal action to hold these companies accountable.

These bills tell every survivor their story doesn't matter.

The stakes are real

5,000+

Children sexually exploited on Roblox and Discord currently represented in federal litigation

Republican Attorneys General — in Texas, Florida, Kentucky, Louisiana, Iowa, and South Carolina — have sued or investigated Roblox to protect children

1

Vote Thursday could make every one of those cases harder to win

This doesn't add up

Republican AGs in six states sued Roblox because their constituents demanded accountability. Meanwhile, their Republican colleagues in Congress are about to vote for a bill that protects Roblox instead.

This is not a partisan issue. Protecting children never should be.

Meet Schlep

Michael "Schlep" is a YouTuber who was groomed on Roblox and Discord as a child. He has since dedicated his life to exposing predators on the platform. His work led to six arrests. Roblox banned him and sent a cease-and-desist letter. Meanwhile, predators go unpunished.

Congress is about to protect the platform that silenced him.

Thursday is the vote.
Today is the day to call.

Use the script below when you call your representative.

"I am calling to urge [Representative's name] to vote NO on H.R. 6484, COPPA 2.0, and the SAFER Gaming Act. These bills eliminate stronger state protections for children and make it harder to hold tech companies accountable for the harm they have caused. Survivors deserve their day in court. Please oppose these bills."
